PPE Gowns & Masks

Dedicated to supporting our local community during the COVID-19 pandemic, the TradeWinds Sewing Industries team produced PPE gowns for 49 local hospitals, medical offices, and First Responders located in four states. Since early in the pandemic, the team has shipped over 350,000 PPE gowns and thousands of masks.

TradeWinds meets high-quality production standards with over 35 years of experience producing similar garments for the United States Department of Defense.

Sewing Manufacturing team

TradeWinds has contracted with the U.S. Department of Defense for over 35 years producing garments under the AbilityOne Program while dedicated to providing employment opportunities to people with significant disabilities. High-quality standards to meet military specifications drive the success of our operation; from cutting the fabric, labeling garments, sewing operations, small parts assembly, fold and packing garments to final shipping.

Training is provided for people with disabilities in our Pre-Vocational Services department to develop skills based on individualized goals.

In FY2021, over 460,000 garments were produced for the DOD and other local commercial companies.
