Description of Position: The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and payroll functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The A/P responsibilities include preparing and performing check runs; reconciling accounts payable transactions; preparing analysis of accounts; maintaining schedule/ledger for all reoccurring payable; maintaining vendor accounts; reviewing and verifying invoices and check requests; receiving, issuing, and maintain ledger for all Purchase Order Requests; sorting, coding and matching invoices, packing slips and purchase orders; tracking expenses and processing expense reports; corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries; produce monthly reports; provide supporting documentation for audits; assist with month end closing; maintains compliance with required deadlines; and maintains all information with superior level of confidentiality. Payroll functions include processing of payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; calculating and processing employee wages, salaries, deductions, and benefits; preparing and distributing payroll checks or direct deposits slips; assist with end of year payroll reporting (W2s); and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll. Must be able to organize and prioritize; possess diligence and accuracy; have good critical thinking skills, ability to meet deadlines; and must be a collaborator. The AP/Payroll Specialist will be a key point of contact for vendors and employees regarding payment and payroll inquiries.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
Experience Required: Knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, knowledge of general accounting procedures, knowledge of relevant accounting software, proficient in data entry and management, with 1-3 years accounts payable, payroll or general accounting experience.

The Supported Living Coordinator oversees the Supported Living Department. They are responsible for the supervision of the QIDPS in the Supported Living department. The Supported Living Coordinator oversees appropriate staffing, staff hours, assists with hiring needs and conducts monthly reviews. They ensure trainings, inspections, and plans of care are appropriate and complete. The Supported Living Coordinator ensures that medical care for the consumers is complete and up to date and all other needs are met.

Manage janitorial staff as well as their schedules for deep cleaning, maintenance of a sanitized work environment and spot checking. Complete janitorial duties as assigned. Complete local service deliveries and pick-ups of industries goods as needed. Move materials needed from East to Main to maintain a steady job flow for clients served. Driving Box Truck with air breaks, pantry trucks, sign shop van, and other TradeWinds vehicles as needed. Install signs sparingly on a scheduled basis. TradeWinds Services, located in Merrillville, has a part-time position as an ADAPT Adult Trainer, working with adults with developmental and physical disabilities. This position will train, teach, and work with participants in the ADAPT (Adult Day Activity Program & Training) program.
Description of Position – Feeding, toileting, group facilitation, some lifting, and positioning. Responsible for individual activities. Provide a wide range of activities, which could include such things as gross and fine motor skill activities, games, art/craft activities, mobility, exercise, nutrition, and recreation, and leisure activities. The trainer position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Documentation – Daily or monthly as required by the state regarding feeding and activity schedules, medications, billing, etc. Incident reports.

Our Respite Care staff takes individuals with special needs on outings to community-based activities, shopping, bowling, theaters, etc. Respite care can also be provided in-home or at a TradeWinds Respite Apartment.
