This is a full-time sales position with competitive base salary + commission and benefits package selling TradeWinds Sign Shop services in Northwest Indiana and surrounding areas.
POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibility is to act in a trusted advisory and leadership role for the TradeWinds Sign Shop to create and execute sales and marketing plans to bring in new business for the Sign Shop. This role requires a leader and true sales and marketing professional who can use consultative selling methods to uncover and understand the needs of businesses, thoughtfully craft a strategy designed to address those needs, implement and execute the strategy.
Sign Shop Responsibilities:
• Make sales calls to cultivate new business for the Sign Shop.
• Market the Sign Shop at events and expos.
• Cold call new customers and create target lists.
• Work with Sign Shop Manager to understand products and priority sales targets.
• Monitor Sign Shop competitors and their pricing.
• Prepare and submit reports to Director of Development & Marketing.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required: High School diploma, valid driver’s license, a reliable insured vehicle.
Strongly Preferred: two years’ relevant sales experience; knowledge of sign shop business preferred but not necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Must have the desire to be a true and successful salesperson, and willing to embrace cold calling initiatives when needed.
• Must be able to work independently within the parameters of the position, make sound business decisions, and problem solve as needed. Must be very well organized and self-directed with a focus on goal attainment as top priority.
• Must have strong customer service skills that focus on customer retention and a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Must be very driven, attentive to detail, organized and goal oriented with strong time management skills. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with customers, colleagues and staff.
• Must routinely apply logic to troubleshoot solutions to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication ability including phone skills and etiquette are a must
• Strong typing, spelling and grammatical skills required as well as basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet. Knowledge of social media preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must be a responsible, reliable person who is able to work independently. Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.

Description of Position: – Develop A.D.A.P.T & Pre-Vocational skill-based curriculum for adults with intellectual disabilities. Provide training, modeling, and monitoring of the curriculum implementation with the A.D.A.P.T and Pre-Vocational Trainers. Research and develop hands on training opportunities or job trials in the center and community settings for participants to develop skills within an integrated community setting. Ensure daily curriculum/lesson plans for ADAPT and Prevocational departments. Lessons plans should be detailed oriented and include directions and steps as well as ordering supplies for day programs. Monitor and track outcomes or effectiveness of curriculum; develop accommodations as needed as well as curriculum enhancement.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education / Special Education, or related field.
Experience Required:
Curriculum writing experience or similar writing experience. Two years working with people with disabilities preferred.

This is a substitute position to fill in as needed, working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Description of Position: Responsible to train participants based on their individual pre-vocational goals as identified in their Individual Service Plans. In addition, provide training to enable the person served to maximize their performance on a variety of production jobs. Job accommodations and daily written documentation are required regarding participants’ progress and related service issues. Participation in consumer person-centered planning meetings is required.
Education Requirements: Minimum High school diploma or GED; post-secondary/training preferred.
Experience Required: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in education and/or teacher’s aide experience. Shipping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task as well as effectively communicate both orally and written. Must be able to objectively and calmly handle crisis situations.

Respite Care offers caregivers of children and adults with disabilities the opportunity for a short-term break to care for themselves, spend time with other family members, or have the freedom to run errands without worry. Our Respite Care staff takes individuals with special needs on outings to community-based activities, shopping, bowling, theaters, etc. Respite care can also be provided in-home or at a TradeWinds Respite Apartment.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license – must meet requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be a responsible, reliable person who is able to work independently. The flexible hours can be good for a college student, retiree, or a person looking for part-time employment.
