Summer & Functional Skills camps provide an opportunity for children with varying abilities to enjoy action-packed weeks of community adventures and learning from mid-June to mid-August.
The 2023 camps begin June 5th through August 4th, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
Summer camp for all abilities encourages group interaction and teamwork for ages 6 to 12 years while providing fun, learning experiences with arts & crafts, field trips, learning about gardening & healthy eating, picnics, sports, movies, water activities, mini-golf, & so much more.
Functional Skills camp provides community-based activities for youth ages 13 to 17 who have mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Similar fun activities as the Summer Camp with functional skills training for consistent practice to help retain & build skills by introducing hands-on experiences bridging the 2-month summer break gap. Additional activities include money management, career exploration, animal & pet care, healthy eating, cooking & shopping, sports, water activities, and much more.

We’re asking the community to join us in giving the gift of summer camp to kids with developmental, physical, and mental challenges residing in Northwest Indiana. This year will be another action-packed summer camp program that will feature a Creative Curriculum, Arts & Crafts, Bowling, Field Trips, Movies, Picnics, Sports, Swimming, and much more. A $25 donation will sponsor a camper for a community outing. $50 will provide hands-on activities or lessons for a camper. Your gift can make summer camp possible for kids!
